My-my, Cpt John Fabris. You're going to be quite lonely someday.

Plenty more fish in the sea I'd wager. I'm rather attached to the forlorn, desolate image (even it is a more 18th/19th than 17th century trend). Misery is so much more reliable than joy, less fickle and transient. I dare say it improves ones poetry no end.

Like cattle? Madam, I'd hardly advocate branding. I'll leave that sort of behaviour to plantation owners. I suspect I spend well enough time considering the greater aspects of life...too much thinking, not enough doing. Life is not mere sport for spectators.

Were I to find my equal I imagine I might ammend my sorry ways, but alas narcissism is a curse without end. At least unless I do indeed have a doppelganger, but I doubt I'd look terribly fetching in a skirt.

I do not believe that you have much reason to be a narcissist. And anyway, you've missed my point. You're only diluting yourself by this way of thinking. Believe me, I know what it is to be depressed; the entire world becoming dark, and misery dictating your every living breath (Though I must agree with you, it is good for poetry!). However, if you can't look beyond that, you'll never find your treasure. And as you well may know, as a pirate, the most opulent treasure is always hidden and often difficult to attain.

I'm not meaning to quarrel. I just wish you could understand it as I do. There is so much more to life; you just have to search a little harder.

**His whistling stops, and he turns about only 10 to 20 paces away.**

MY WORD, WILL YOU TWO ENOUGH ALREADY!!

**He yells as he walks back to the pair. Angelina is obviously resting her hands upon her hips as she stradles two steps, being half turned back to Capt. Fabris.**

While I can appreciate each of your unique views on life and the pursuits of all things both tragic and joyful, you must agree on one thing. To disagree. Each of us has our own views and opinions. Take me for example, I have loved and lost. The perpetual idiom "'tis better to have loved and lost, then never loved at all' rings out from all my friends. But I ask you, try it some time, and see if you share this optimism.

While life can be hearty and full of beauty, it can also be frought with darkness and evil.

Enjoy what makes you happy while you can, for life is not always just and fair.

Yes, I see your point gentlemen. Almost makes you wonder what game this discussion is concerned with.

Aye, the game ought to be played. A mouse in one hand, a cup of rum (cuban obviously) in the other. Glorious adventures await...with the added advantage noone gets hanged if you find yourself apprehended by your mortal enemies. A nice touch really...not fond of neckties at the best of times.
Find yourself a decent ship (swear by my 40 gun flag galleon personally) and put the caribbean to the sword.

All I can add to this is that I've never had the pleasure of tasting Cuban Rum.

Could you please give me the name of a brand I might find in in the US??

@ Angel o' TS...you certianly do have a way of mesmerizing a seaman with your sights and words...
