Call me a lucky pirate but I finally caught my first SOL! She was a french one heading out to Port-de-paix or however ye be spelling it. All I had was about 20,000 dubloons on me head and I see one being protected by a sloop! Well the amazing thing about this is that it was 1841 and I was barely starting the game. Oh well, at least I have a brand new SOL to pound a few more balls into the Spanish.
