I bagged me a Mail Runner a while back. I had it fully up-graded and armed to the teeth with 12 cannons! Problem was I didn't know what to call her! Here I have a fully armed and fully loaded "ultra-rare" ship, but I don't have a clue what to name it! I stole it from a Spanish settlement, so it had some sort of Spanish name. The mayor asked me to deliver a message, and as soon as we turned the corner (and out of sight)- Bam! Got it! It was betrayal at its finest! I was so happy! Sadly, I couldn't think of a good "postal" term or name for my Mail Runner. I think I finally just settled on "FedEx"!
I also tried using a (large) Fluyt as a flagship! Yes, you read that correctly!
I figured since this would be the ONLY time I'd try something this crazy, I'd give the ship a name that would be rememberable as well. Say hello to the "Spruce Deuce"! Please don't ask for the "break-down" of the name- it's not pretty!
I had the Spruce Deuce fully upgraded and fully armed with 12 guns. While it's not the worst ship (if you know a few tricks), it's no warship! I went up against a Fast Galleon in my Spruce Deuce, and I WON! Was it luck? I don't know. Was I outta my mind? You better believe it! _________________ "Families are like fudge...Mostly sweet with a few nuts." |

I always call my (NOT Large) Frigate "Black Magic". Back in the old days (2005-09) I used an Ocean Barque called the "Cujo" (hence, my screenname)! Yes, I know the Barque's limitations, but I've also learned afew tricks that help during sea battles. See, "Old dogs CAN learn new tricks". _________________ If you can't run with the Big Dog, stay on the porch! |

My vavourite names for my flag ship are "Calypso" or "Medusa". My other ships are often named by the names of pretty celebrities like "Salma Hayek" or "Nelly Furtado". Sometimes I name ships just with some sort of hot chilies like "Tabasco". |

I like to vary it up a little. Sometimes use a historical ship name sometimes using the language of the country I am aligned with and sometimes, if the name is really really good, keep it what it is.

Nice sense of humor!

As a huge Assassin's Creed fan I'm a fan of bird names. Jackdaw (which I was using before AC4 BTW), Aquila, Eagle, Sparrow, Owl, Hawk, etc. _________________ The Code is the Law. |
