Purebred - I assume you found his hideout by now. Monty is usually located in one of these places (in order of probability): 1) North of Vera Cruz, 2) near Villa Hermosa, 3) On the south or southwest coast of Bay of Honduras, or 4) the East Coast of Mexico south of modern day Cancun or in Belize.

Welcome external. In the vicinity of almost never means in sight of - unfortunately. I would translate it to mean only that the named city should be the closest city to the hideout - and sometimes not by much. For example SE of Campeche is usually on the opposite side of the Yuccatan penninsula. In the vicinity of Villa Hermosa could be relatively nearby, or down SE to the Bay of Honduras on the other side of the penninsula. Look through the orienteering forum and you will get the idea. Look for some recent threads that Loki or Asclepius have answered.
