Yes - it would have been fun - but we have an entire forum almost to ourselves - sort of a Unique experience.

Guild Wars for 4 years now. I saw great game mechanics and support there that would perfectly fit Pirates and without monthly fees. One downside, the comunity in that game is focused around elitism.

Pirates of the burning sea isn't doing that well I heard. Well it's a pay to play mmo, so it's not really what old school players like myself prefer. So I skipped that boat.

Sid Meier's Pirates Online would get some bucks from me, but that's still just a wish, isn't it?
Are there any plans of making a MMO-version of Pirates?

There's pirates of the Caribbean Online.

I don't want to see a MMORPG version. The monthly membership will put me off. What I suggest is that the multiplayer is like Diablo. You only need to purchase the game and and it's expansion packs. How does the PSP handle multiplayer?

Yeah, that would be sweet like rum..

Now I've checked both Pirates of the Caribbean Online and Pirates of the Burning Sea..
Seems like Pirates of the Burning Sea is the better game of those two, not least when comparing the pvp systems..
Anyone got some experience of those games?

Me and a friend of mine used to play all versions of Sid Meier's Pirates - from Commodore to this latest pc version - so we would rather play an online version of the number one Pirates game.
However, my friend will probably check Pirates of the Burning Sea so I might give you some rows of a review..

It is pretty quiet I think. I thought there might be some reaction to the recent news about Somalian pirates, but it doesn't seem to have made much of an impression.
