Wow, it's been so long I forgot we even did this. Anyway, Tom and I made a couple of these challenges back then. You start by using Phalzyrs trainer to set things up, no modding of the .exe was done. |

Wow!
I'm late to the party, but thank you for posting this. This savegame is incredible; it creates so many new ways to play!
Now, I know I'm too late to win gold, but here's my entry for fastest capture of the evil 7: July 10, 1681:
As you can see from the log, I saved time by ONLY sneaking into towns (and capturing a few ships for food), and hitting the 7 towns from east to west to save time.
I also learned a lot about sneaking.
There are white arrow signs that point to the Governor's mansion all around town - unless you have just broken out of jail, in which case they point to your ship! The Governor's mansion has a stone wall in front and a garden wall in back; from there the tavern is always located in the same place - 2 streets back on the right side:
When avoiding guards, running almost certainly does not make more noise than walking; I've run right past a guard who was facing the other way. They have no peripheral vision. Someone else posted the importance of watching whether their swords are out; that's key while waiting in a hay bale for them to calm down (they can never find you in a hay bale, so just sit tight!)
Here's 7 guards looking for me at once:
