I stated up a game I have not played for a while...and because I have not played for a while, my skills are...meh.
I have been using War Canoes quite a bit- they are easily replaced, which is good, because I keep going through them like tissue paper.
In one fight with some yet, um, un-liberated war canoes, my little ship actually rammed and sunk one of the two enemy canoes!
I thought only a bigger ship could do this- I have not done this before, save with a (get ready for it) Ship of the Line.
A war canoe ramming and sinking another war canoe?
Has any one else had this occur to them? Am I just new at this particular part of the game?

I don't think I've never done it with a war canoe, but I have rammed an "un-liberated" war canoe. I was pretty surprised the first time it happened.
I think it only occurs when one war canoe serves as an escort for another war canoe that you are attacking. You can only capture the one that you initially engaged - any others you try to board are just rammed and sunk. |
