That's the whole idea of the Picture Clue - You either know it - or you do not - or perhaps have a vague idea - as I have never played those sort of games - I did not have a lot to base my first guess on.

Now - for my Picture Clue :

What is the name of this game - this is the Original Advertising Poster - but I have removed the name from the middle.

I loved this game to death in it's time.

Absolutely Correct.

Alas I have lost my poster - but I still have the Black Box with the disc - inside, I lost many days,weeks/months playing it - and of course Pirates.

In fact - on my now packed up C-64 - the Elite Keyboard Overlay is still sticky taped to it - a bit faded though.

Elite is certainly one of the greatest games ever made; you have to respect a game which has the Blue Danube as music whilst auto docking is engaged!

rupertlittlebear - it is now your Turn to test our grey matter.

Yeah for compatibility mode !! - not bad advice - considering I am still running XP Smile

Loose interest in Pirates - Never - you may stray away for a while - as I did recently - Playing "Buccaneer - the Pursuit of Infamy" - but once I completed all levels - back to trusty Pirates I came

I have downloaded a Release Candidate version of Windows 7 - and I will be giving that a go soon - but I will be installing on a Second Drive - so I do not Stuff up my XP install - If Windows 7 is too my liking - I will then upgrade to it - once the final version is released.

Yeah, but my last stray was for 4 years, that's a bit long. My promotions suffered a bit in that period... Razz

i like XP better than Vista, but i haven't had too much problems yet. Windows 2000 is my favorite actually, we'll see if Windows 7 can bring back some of the old glory.

Yeah - Microsoft seem to go in spurts.

I have had for 6 months now a PC at work with Windows 7 - beta release - and even on an old PC - it is so far - touch wood - stable - and less resource hungry.

I also definitely like XP better than Vista - which is why - I still run it it at home - to the point where - I have a new PC - but paid the extra to have it "Down Graded" to XP.

Windows 7 - so far - has my vote.

Guru - You also may as well - ask the next Question,,,... Smile

Bahrain. The country is known for problems with human trafficking - I'll bet Mendoza would be right at home here! And it appears to be ideally located to serve as a base of piracy in the Persian Gulf.

New category: Parrots of the Caribbean! This fellow is keeping his options open by sporting the national colors of England, France, and Spain. He is the national bird of a country where Pirates players spend a lot of time tromping around looking for buried treasure and lost relatives. What kind of parrot is this?

This, my dear Roland, is an Ara Parrot! Or a Scarlet Macaw (Ara macao) to be exact.

It's the national bird of Honduras, a country mostly known by it's countless lost cities and the occasional pirate treasure Razz

Nice one, Sid Meier should pick up on this and create a game! Or maybe a new movie trilogy Smile
