No correct answer yet. As always after 24 use a search engine. Hint this person isn't Japanese. It's a woman. Everybody who went to school at all in the USA should know something about this person except of course I doubt many know about that dog. |

Nope not her. She does seem to be getting a lot of Japanese attention though lately. |

Is wan't Admiral Perry, was it? Or was he a Commodore? _________________ " ... the mistakes that we male and female mortals make when we have our own way might fairly raise some wonder that we are so fond of it. " George Eliot |

Oliver Hazard Perry is famous for winning the battle of Lake Erie in 1813. His younger brother Matthew C. Perry is famous for opening Japan in 1854. Both were Commodores. |

Nope not him. It is a woman and the dog was a gift to her from Japan. Very well known person. Last hint. You have seen this dog of hers as many times as she as seen it. How could that be possible? |

Well it is safe to say the USA is by far the king of Aircraft carriers. Japan was a aircraft carrier powerhouse once and they might still have a little something now to fling a plane off of. China we all know has one and working on the second. Russia might have something really small but for the most part they certainty aren't a aircraft carrier navy. The Uk I believe is about to launch a good sized one and probably has some small ones. I'd say Germany, France might have a little something. India might possibly have a little something but I'm not sure about that. |

USA, China, Russia, France, and India are all correct. You're right, the UK, who was a pioneer in carriers, is currently testing, but has nothing in service. Germany and Japan have copter carriers, but lots of ships can do that. Italy and Spain are the other two countries. France is the only country besides the USA with a nuclear carrier.
Since you answer included the majority of the correct answers, it's your turn, Pirate. |
