The world's 100+ tallest mountain peaks are all in the Himalya, Karakorum, and related ranges in south-central Asia. What is the world's tallest mountain that is not in this region?

Must be in Chile then. Don't know the name. Will search tomorrow if no one else beats me to it. |

Nope - not in Peru, Bolivia, or Chile.
It's been 26 hours, so go ahead and search the internet. |

Mount Aconcagua in Argentina. I had to search to find this one. It was too tough for us! |

I asked a stray cat. He or she said it was Mount Aconcagua in Argentina. |

Yep - Salty Dog and Pirate both got it. Salty was first by a nose. Pirate apparently speaks feline, which I'm sure comes in handy at times!
I had also never heard of Mount Aconcagua before I started researching this question. It's rather amazing that none of us had ever heard of the tallest mountain in the western hemisphere! |

If that's the case, shouldn't the cat be asking the next question? _________________ " ... the mistakes that we male and female mortals make when we have our own way might fairly raise some wonder that we are so fond of it. " George Eliot |
