By the way, I have two CD's from J. Geils and Magic Dick that were released in the past eight years. Check it out, they have one called Blues Time and another just called J. Geils and Magic Dick. Both are blues records and are very well done. Magic Dick does the vocals on both CD's and he is pretty good plus he is awesome on the harp! J. Geils has an incredible collection of old guitars from the 1930's and 1940's that he plays on the CD's. Very valuable collection of vintage electric guitars. |

Violet is way more poetic because it at the least, alludes to a flower. Purple simply doesn't rhyme.
As for colors, I'm clueless. |

Upon further reflection,
Ultraviolet is close to black as far as the human eye is concerned, so
Violet must be darker than purple. |

Three interesting answers!
Pirate wrote: | Purple doesn't exist |
One could sort of defend this answer. In terms of light and the color wheel, violet is considered a pure color in and of itself, while purple is a mixture of blue and red. But in terms of natural dyes, purple is the pure color, obtained from the murex sea snail. (The expense of making authentic purple dye limited it to only the wealthiest - and Roman law and custom limited it to the imperial family and their associates.)

This is backwards - purple is more red, and violet is more blue.

Insofar as blue is perceived to be darker than red, and violet is more blue, this is the closest of the answers posted here. Your turn, Rusty. |

Upon asking a friend - Purple is a color - Violet - is a shade.
and as the floor is open - I will ask a question then :
Name an actor that has been attacked - perhaps killed ( Character Only ) by all of the following :
1.) an Alien
2.) a Predator
3.) a Terminator |

A fuzzy clue then -
The actor is in this picture - as is one that attacked him before - so in fact my guy has been attacked twice by the same other actor in at least 2 movies.
This pic is not from one of the movies that has
1.) an Alien
2.) a Predator
3.) a Terminator
But in fact has 2 actors that were together in this movie - and 1 of the other 3.

All right - a Bigger Clue - unfortunately my actor is deceased - and it is not Bill Murray - but Bill ??????

Really - no Guesses at All ?
Bill Someone -
I shall have a few guesses then..
Bill Cosby ? - No, Not Deceased.
Bill Murray ? No, also Not Deceased - and I already used him as an example - so duh !!!
Bill Clinton ? No , Looks deceased - but Not.
Bill Gates ? - No - but so rich - probably will defy being deceased.
Bill Pullman ? - No - lead the Earth to victory as President than again as past President - but nope...
mmm - than I also give up - are there any Bill's left ? |
