I made a sequel to the marvelous Fencing Academy.
It's not clear whether the moderators are still uploading files to the Mods section, so I'm posting a link:
Fencing_Academy_2.zip
Like the original, this is a zip file containing a set of scenarios where you can fence with a jealous suitor under different conditions.
There are 24 savegames, covering the cross product of
Young/Old
Skill in Fencing/Skill in Wit and Charm
Items/No Items
Adventurer/Rogue/Swashbuckler
It was designed to answer some questions that I had after working through the original Fencing Academy:
When my pirate is old, I'll have items - how tough is the suitor then?
What about the English captain of the guard?
How tough is Montalban compared to the suitor?
In these savegames, 4 northern islands of the Lesser Antilles have been renamed as fencing schools, one for each nation. Each has a jealous suitor, a wanted criminal, and often a belligerent captain of the guard. You start out at the English Fencing Academy, famous for its captain of the guard.
Should you leave town, you will notice that Baron Raymondo, Colonel Mendoza, and Marquis Montalban are all sailing past, headed for a poker game in Guadeloupe. You have your choice of flagships too.

Looks really cool, as a lover of fencing (in real life and in pirates!) I'll try this out. _________________ The Code is the Law. |
