"This morning I came down stairs and my wife explained that over night the cat unrolled the puzzle saver , and started swatting pieces off of the table. My dog found some of them and mauled them. She likes to chew cardboard. "

While we have the term catspiracy to describe the actions of cats in league for secretive purposes, I'd like to propose a term to describe the above circumstances, in which cats cooperate/ are in collusion with other animals-

Cathoots . The cat knocks things off of the counter or shelf, and the dog destroys the evidence. They are in cathoots.

Sounds quite suitable. I saw a video which showed a cat operate a door knob and let out a dog. Same sort of thing.

Definetly a catspiracy - but it is in the making of some new movie's, Cat's of the Catribean - and Catthroat Island, where one of the main weapons of choice is the Catlass.

http://www.petmedsonline.org/record-distances-travelled-by-lost-cats.html

Cats travel too slowly to keep up with a scent, and their noses are very petite.

I can only explain this as a catspiracy. They must have the equivalent of an amber alert for lost companions.

Either our black cat was trying to scratch her head, or she was trying to use the telephone. She knocked the receiver off of the hook and messed with the buttons. Proof of a catspiracy?

This brought hilarity to my home.
My niece describes the term as "valid".
