I'm not really sure if the addicted forums are still around. I stopped going there years ago because the site became horribly bugged. But there were indeed a great deal of mods. Another_Russian had the most, flag, ship, and your character mods, but again this is before we had a cracked exe. Modding was limited.
There was a PH trainer mod that was supposed to be a huge project, I forget the mod leaders name. Good man Sid came around and said shut it down or I'm pressing legal charges.
EDIT. And it makes me wonder why Sid didn't want Pirates! to be easily modded when the Civilization series is the complete opposite. This game would have had a longer life compared to an already incredible life if it was heavily moddable |

The PH trainer is still available.
You can find it at link removed by me because the host site required payment.

And I forgot to mention. The compass on land walking is completely opposite. The main point is the opposite direction of where you're walking and the smaller point goes northwest if you're walking northeast, northeast if you're walking northwest.
And there's slight graphical problems such as on the "campaign map" of the east indies your X of where you are is a little in the water and so is the red dot of a wanted criminal, raymondo etc. WOOPS I think I only saw this around the India area, not Indonesia/Vietnam
