Bigfoot Sightings Maps
looking for something else, stumbled over this
3 Bigfoot Sightings Maps in 7 States: Booklet of Sasquatch Beings & Footprints Seen in TX - WA, OR, CA - AR, MO, OK Kindle Edition
https://www.amazon.com/Bigfoot-Sightings-Maps-States-Footprints-ebook/dp/B07HFLQHNH
Three bigfoot sightings maps for Texas, Washington-Oregon-California, and Arkansas-Missouri-Oklahoma. This small 28-page booklet includes a couple of chapters on sighting reports and statistics for the Desert Apes in the El Paso, Texas desert sightings area. Book size is 8.5x11 and in full color.
Washington-Oregon-California area not a surprise
as been hearing about Sasquatch in that general area for decades.
Texas, Arkansas-Missouri-Oklahoma is a bit of a surprise, who knew!
quick look on wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bigfoot
only a 2014 Texas bigfoot hoax mentioned
Quick google search on Bigfoot Texas
more hits than I expected
Either Bigfoot has a Texas Summer home, or Texas is
suffering Bigfoot envy and wants it's own critter,
or has been there all along.
EDIT:
apparently there is the legend that a Bigfoot
even spoke to David Crockett about 6 months before
the Alamo, advising him to leave Texas.
The National Park named after him is a frequent
location for Bigfoot sightings.
And apparently yes it's legal to shot a Bigfoot in Texas
as not currently protected but given that it's Texas,
Bigfoot may well shoot back!

I'd never heard of Bigfoot sightings in Texas.
Davy Crockett National Forest is in eastern Texas; El Paso is in western Texas, just under 800 miles away.
I guess Bigfoot hopes an airlplane to travel between them, as it's an 11 hour drive. |

I hadn't heard of Texas and Bigfoots either.
Desert Apes appear to be the El Paso area local description
most probably a separate "band" to the rest of Texas,
so probably no Bigfoots driving RVs across Texas.
For Bigfoot you are talking about wooded areas,
with deer, bear etc on the menu.
This is a few google hits, lots more for Texas

This maybe people with pre-covid too much idle time and possibly
tequila/whiskey, not that much smartphone footage for all the sighting claims.
Texas does have Bigfoot Hunters

so certain people believe something is there
and there are hoxers such as

This is the david crockett Bigfoot Story,
one of the few where a Bigfoot actually talks -
return from Texas, flee this Fort and abandon this lost cause

Wasatch Sasquatch - Wasatch Wendigo
Did Davy Crockett see a bigfoot in the woods near Nacogdoches, Texas in 1836?

I have a friend who tells me he and his wife saw a Sasquatch in person. Don't know if he is right. There have been a lot of reported sightings here in the Pacific Northwest. I don't know if they are right.
On the "yes they could exist" side - 1) Mountain Gorillas in Africa were rumored for many years but not positively identified until the 1920's 2) we have really, really wild areas here in the Northwest - heavily wooded areas with no roads at all. They could walk around and not be seen, and 3) there have been hundreds of reported sightings by credible people.
On the "No way, they cannot exist" side - 1) there are literally thousands of game cameras out there, why has no one taken a picture of one? I understand that Bushnell will pay a 1 million dollar reward if you get a picture of one using one of their cameras 2) why has no one found a dead body? Are we to believe they bury their own before humans come across a body?, and 3) by now, someone would have either taken a really good picture of one or simply shot one with a deer rifle.
So, I am still open minded. I have heard cougars (mountain lions) in the wild but never seen one. I know they exist because they are in zoos and there are lots of pictures of them. Would they be harder to find than a Sasquatch?
BTW, the local Tribes in the Northwest have various names for Sasquatch. The reports have been around since before recorded history. |
