The Ruby of Kishmoor by Howard Pyle (1908)
https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/3687
The Ruby of Kishmoor tells the adventure of Jonathan Rugg.
A mysterious woman masked behind a veil of silver.
She gives Jonathan a small ball covered in beautiful markings.
The ivory ball is cursed.
Jonathan must defend himself against the attacks of several pirates.
Captain Robertson Keitt, famous pirate of his day
(fictional version of Henry Every)
captured the ship known as the Sun of the East.
He took the precious Ruby of Kishmoor,
hid it from his shipmates and never told a soul where it was buried. |
