The Monkey Island mod has a hex edited executable so they shouldn’t block someone else’s mod for that. Just my humble opinion whatever that might be worth. Probably not much.

Don't think it is the website's decision, rather more an automated
site AV scanning issue


I had a similar issue with Google Drive file hosting AV scan blocking
any Phalzer Trainer downloads when uploaded, Probably because it is a Trainer.

Trainers, Hex Edited files & password tools tend to be blocked by
website AV scans as part of a safety first policy.

Probably need to have tried as a 7-zip 7z archive file rather than a zip
archive

Most AV scans can open zip files,
7-zip 7z files being less common may have potentially a better chance
of getting through file hosting AV scans without any false positive issues.
Your mileage may vary on this depending on the website

Nexusmods as far as I can recall is full of The Elder Scrolls
Morrowind , Oblivion or Skyrim Games 7zip 7z archives content.
So if any site could handle 7-zip 7z files properly, it is probably
Nexusmods at a guess
