I wish to publicly thank bryce777 and Roland for their recent advice on general strategy. bryce777 told me of his strategy to find Monty's hideout as early as possible, then divide the plunder and gather together a 300 plus man army and take Monty out early in the game. I gave it a try and knocked Monty off after about three and a half years into the game. My character (always named Gun Pierson), beat Monty while still 21 years of age.

That means I have 100K in gold and all the specialists, and since I use a small boat I have instant immortality!

Next. I want to thank Roland for recommending I go with Wit and Charm as my skill. That gives me access to the Attractive Daughters at the Major rank and the Beautiful Daughters at the Colonel rank. So, I make Colonel with the Spanish and I'm able to dance with a lot of Beauties and keep launching Monty and getting Lost City map pieces. This tells me where Monty's hideout is very early in the game and I find Lost cities early too for more money earlier. With more gold you can hire more crew and take over cities if you wish.

These two strategy changes work hand in hand! In my current game, I got rid of Monty at age 21 and found all four lost cities by age 24, and I am only Major or Colonel with most of the nations! Very much different than my games before. Most of the named pirates are still alive and gaining more wealth. I will knock them off just before I retire and get even more gold from them!

I also want to thank fleetp for his game mod. It fires up quickly and eliminates the need to have Disk 2 in my CD drive. Nice going!

Finally, I REALLY want to thank whoever it is who made the mod to the Beautiful Daughters so they are now topless or have see thru tops. They are amazing and the absolutely best part of the game! Thanks so much!!!

fleetp can tell you where they are. Those Beautiful Daughters are the absolute best part of the game. When you dance with them your eyes are glued to their chests!!! The game mod has a lot more Dutch cities and does not require a Disk 2 CD in your machine.

Also, a group of us collaborated to come up with a way to tell what type of Daughter is in any given City. That way you can sail by a city and decide which one to stop in to dance with a particular type of Daughter,. I think it was JLangdsbo, Roland and I teamed up to publish a chart that shows how to determine the Daughter type,
