Two pieces of Covid vaccine news I came across today.

Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccines for Kids under 5: Things to Know

Novavax could offer unvaccinated Americans a new option, if FDA agrees

A protein based vaccine is good to know. I take too much shit everyday to mix it with a vaccine. All the testing has been done on young, non medicated adults. Ill chance covid like i've mentioned i can pass a cold in 24 hours and the seasonal flu in no more than 4 days. Not an excuse and "chancing covid" is a big risk, but so is mixing the vaccine and medication

That sounds risky if you're already dealing with health conditions, I just heard of an otherwise healthy middle aged woman who wasn't vaccinated and passed away from it. Personally I didn't have any side effects from the shots other than a sore arm

Standard advice recommendation from most health professionals tends to be
is that anyone with a pre-existing medical condition:

such as kidney disease. liver condition or heart condition etc
especially anyone with a reduced immune system performance
or taking blood pressure medication

is to get the full suite of vaccinations available, as you need the help!

Take further advice from your personal qualified medical practitioner
and expect the advice to be to get fully vaccinated & boosted for Covid
and also get the regular flu shots etc if available.

Social media posters typically don't have medical degrees
and are usually talking complete nonsense out of their collective rear ends
as they want to push their view point, not what is best for you.

Covid vaccinations tend to have similar side effects to the standard Flu jabs.
Typically you will sleep it off and feel better in the morning, if not before.

The benefits of a Covid vaccination keeping you alive
and reducing the need to go to hospital for Covid treatment,
also reducing the further spread of Covid
vastly outweigh any minor discomfort on getting a shot.

People have passed away from getting Covid,
none from the Vaccinations to date.
The bulk of most countries Covid intensive care cases now are
unvaccinated people being picked off by Covid at will.

The various Covid vaccines are not rushed as lots of existing stuff dating back to after the SARS (2002) outbreak and new existing techniques were pulled off the fridge shelf.

It just so happen Covid is the current pandemic outbreak,
so it got the latest & greatest tested techniques applied, in most cases what they already had good to go. They found out what works as soon as they could as had full priority on resources.

Anyone wth a pre-existing condition not getting vaccinated
is like playing russian roulette with a fully loaded revolver
or jumping into a swimming pool full of piranha fish.
(Both are not recommended)

Horse medicine doesn’t bother me as much as seeing hand held fake vaginas, anal plugs, dildos with heads on each end. Creepy people out there. Worlds going to shit. My daughter goes to a middle school that has a educational high rating . She takes a final exam allowing notes. Who couldn’t pass if you can take answers with you? I might be Einstein if I went to school there She still says words like gooder instead of better. Doesn’t understand commas but gets good grades in English. Shootings all over the place because people think we need Assault weapons to hunt deer with. Back when America was born a gun was needed primarily for putting food on the table and fend off roaming bands of hostile Indians. Man was to walk into a school with a musket he wouldn’t kill many. One shot and it’s done. Now anybody can be Rambo or a one man Army. How is a bunch of pot bellied alcoholics with semi autos going to keep our military from taking us over anyway. Maybe we need rocket launchers, middles etc. I’m just telling it like it is y’all can draw your own conclusions.

Yep, it continues and it's gaurda's turn with it now. I guess i really went 3 years without catching it? I haven't been sick in 3 years otherwise! I first got sick last sunday, now today's christmas eve. I feel alot better now except the final push for full recovery has been on a tight rope and doesn't feel like coming! Symptoms at first were just a bad cold and horrible chills and some fatigue. Sore throat, slight cough. Now I'm just real tired and would love to take a shower but im too tired. i don't want to drink my usual amount of coffee until this thing has fully gone away. But i feel much better than last sunday and monday

I had a winter flu shot do me in twice in a row, with severe
actual flu as no sooner having got over one bout of flu
promptly got it again.

A nasal drip that simply would not quit,
along with constant matter in the throat,
causing prolonged splutter coughing so sounded like a Truck engine.
Anyway got over it, but fun was not had while doing so.

From personal experience, a flu shot would knock any Covid shot
over on its ass.

Have a relative doing the not wanting to have a Covid booster shot
right now because of any potential side effect routine.
Got a blunt "Man Up" from me response,
as it is the regular flu shots you really have cause to be worried about

One relative got Covid after a marathon, so is claiming a personal
double handicap, as was running for 2, him & Covid.
And he previously had Covid before, but a different version.

Another relative had long Covid, with a loss of smell
which took months to fully come back.

I have had Covid 3 or 4 times now. Only the first one was serious. The other times it was like a mild cold. We took our first 2 shots and later on one booster but no more. We go square dancing and cruising and have built up our resistance pretty well.
We did get the flu shot in mid October.

IM sure i had this thing before, this time it felt like a moderate cold, the chills and fatigue though are more covid symptoms

So it's been from SUnday to sunday. A full week because the last remnants want to be annoying and not fully go away.

I also had the taste and smell change, however it's just normal things tasting weird. Tooth paste tastes weird, orange juice tastes like grape fruit juice, anything with a moderate amount of salt in it that's all you taste is alot of salt. Youre favorite meals can taste completely off and thus you're not even enjoying them

I finally got Covid for the first time last month. I had just gotten the bivalent booster in October, so my immunity was fairly high and my case was very mild. My temperature peaked at just over 100 on day 2, and it was already dropping before I started on Paxlovid later in the day. By day 5 I felt completely normal, but I continued to isolate, as recommended by my doctor, until Thanksgiving.

Back in 2020, I thought I had Covid several times, but I always tested negative. When I got the same symptoms at the same times of year in 2021, I realized it must be allergies of some sort. (It was probably associated with staying home all the time, where I was exposed to the same local and household allergies constantly.) When I finally got Covid, the symptoms were pretty much the same as my allergies - mostly chest congestion. Now I run an air purifier 24/7 when I'm home, and my allergies are better.

Depends on the Covid variant and whether if you had that variant before
or something similar so your immune system will recognise & attack it.

Expect to feel miserable to varying degrees during this.

4 Possible XBB.1.5 COVID Symptoms That Doctors Say May Deceive You

https://www.goodhousekeeping.com/health/a42724844/xbb15-covid-symptoms/

FEB 4, 2023

Global healthcare officials have labeled XBB.1.5, a subvariant that is currently responsible for the bulk of new COVID-19 cases, as the most contagious Omicron mutation they've seen to date.

XBB.1.5 — which some experts are calling the "Kraken" strain — is thought to be about five times more contagious than earlier Omicron strains and has characteristics that allow it to spread easier among both vaccinated and recently recovered individuals.

Common symptoms associated with this strain can be easily dismissed as seasonal illness or flu, but data suggests flu infections are declining, which means Americans should treat these symptoms seriously.

Being sick and experiencing a chronic cough, elevated fever, sore throat or a runny nose should prompt you to get a COVID-19 test to ensure you are not contagious.

see article for full info

They have unleased the "Kraken"!
