There appears to be a new SMP mod out but you must be a member before getting. Not sure if Corsair or anyone already discovered this or not but if so I apologize. I try to read most stuff but can’t always do so.

Just to be informative there are other mods besides Monkey Island. There be a high resolution texture mod. New ship texture mod. The Sea Vixen mod which most of us here already are familiar with. Those are the biggest mods available. There are a couple more minor mods but that’s about it. |

I’ll give a update later on the Monkey Island mod but briefly I’ll say probably the biggest issue for making the mod so big is all the new audio and video files. I never played the Monkey Island game so I don’t really know much about it so I’ll have to guess at some things. One it appears the nations are replaced with I'm assuming character factions from the Monkey Island Mod. New textures for the village city backgrounds. Cartoonish looking not exactly my style but I’m certainly not knocking anybody else this guy is good to do what he did and you can be sure no dummy could do it. It just isn’t my style. Not really anything different with the barmaids. Didn’t see any nif modifications or any new daughters. No ballroom paintings. Weird ideas for trade items but probably suitable for a cartoon voodoo pirate game. The mod is also not complete as the city descriptions and their trade information is the same as the original in the Caribbean game. Wild names for the cities. I’m sure someone will like it but it’s not my style. |

Thanks for the head up about the new mod,
haven't checked nexusmods in a while.
Much appreciated about the offer, but 885 MB is a bit on the
large size to upload and I probably have most of the content anyway.
I can always sign up to nexusmods to get hold of the mod if required,
whenever.

I went through and downloaded pretty much EVERY single mod you can find under mods in Hooked On Pirates.
I have gone through and deleted duplicates, things which I feel may lessen the pirates' "theme" but also kept some of the funnier flags/sails. I have also removed other things, and compared various .DDS files so I can ensure I proved the best looking game for you.
I recommend looking at the Pirates HD Mod & Custom Flags Pack, as these contain extras which may not be in here. Or you can compare for your own tastes.

Although I tried my best to compare files, some .fpk files just couldn't be extracted (example the Parrot Mod which looked cool in theory).
(EDIT: best to use the FpkPacker utility with the Parrod Mod to unpack)

Weird someone take shit from hooked on pirates and everywhere else then add it to a collection of there own the uploading it on a site that requires membership then stating abousultly no uploading the mod anywhere else. Someone here should ask it be taken down in that case. Just my Opinion. |

If any of your stuff is in the mod at Nexus and your terms of use prohibit uploading it to sites without your permission, you can demand that the site remove it as a violation of Digital Rights Management laws.
Here is a sample of text I use when issuing a take down notice

Don't think anything was mine but there was plenty of stuff from the mods section here like the black pants uniforms some of the daughters etc. Some of it he might have touched up a bit but still he didnt make it. I don't really have a crow with him uploading but if you borrow from here i think we should at least be able to upload it here if we wanted too. I fail to see what he could do about it if somonie did. |
