I've noticed on a couple of Saturdays (maybe when we get increased traffic from Nexus and steam-type places), the forum seems to go down for a bit. This is making me wonder about the stability of the whole thing, and the fact that the admin/webmaster have been MIA for ages - are we just going to have no forum one day and no means to reach other? Not to mention we can't even sticky/unsticky threads.

Should we think about moving? I don't mind covering the domain fees and I can't imagine a similar message board would cost much. Heck if falconer ever replied we could see about migrating the whole forum or just taking over this one. If we do move, we could post a thread in every forum directing newbies where we've gone off to... Any thoughts from the other regulars?

Right on. I'm xxxcalibre on reddit and other places, or just themodelcitizen at places like nexus. The Pirates! subreddit could always serve as a backup

In the past I've suggested wolflore, but the site owner there has passed away, and I'm not sure how long that site will be around While I have admin privileges there, it seems I'm the only one who logs in there.

Since hooked on pirates is part of hookedgamers, I don;t think we have to worry about that site going down anytime soon.

One option is us joining undertow.club I can be reached there (username fleet). I have 'super moderator' control there, and the site is very robust.
