Corsairs Legacy is an open-world RPG pirate game in which you will immerse yourself in a perilous adventure. Solve the conflict in Barbados, being in the heart of intrigue, open up to new adventures and become a thunderstorm of the archipelago!
About This Game
Year 1689. Captain Blood's odyssey came to an end - the legendary corsair took over as governor of Jamaica. The Caribbean Sea needs new heroes - notorious adventurers who, under the Black Flag, will set sail to run into danger, sea battles and Spanish gold, becoming the scourge of the tropical islands.
Jack Rackham had no plans to become a pirate. He was completely happy living the life of a smuggler. But, coincidentally, while delivering another cargo, he got into series of events that changed his life forever.
Forge this new pirate world’s destiny, as you befriend or betray companions. Create your own story.

John Rackham (December 26, 1682 – November 18, 1720),
commonly known as Calico Jack, was an English pirate captain operating in the Bahamas and in Cuba during the early 18th century. His nickname was derived from the calico clothing that he wore, while Jack is a nickname for "John".
Rackham was active towards the end (1718—1720) of the "Golden Age of Piracy" which lasted from 1650 to 1725. He is most remembered for having two female crew members: Mary Read and his lover, Anne Bonny.
Rackham deposed Charles Vane from his position as captain of the sloop Ranger, then cruised the Leeward Islands, Jamaica Channel and Windward Passage. He accepted a pardon in 1719 and moved to New Providence, where he met Anne Bonny, who was married to James Bonny at the time.
He returned to piracy in 1720 by stealing a British sloop and Anne joined him. Their new crew included Mary Read, who was disguised as a man at the time. After a short run, Rackham was captured by Royal Navy pirate hunter Jonathan Barnet in 1720, put on trial by Sir Nicholas Lawes, Governor of Jamaica, and was hanged in November of that year in Port Royal, Jamaica.
He is also known for the creation of the Jolly Roger.

The only real game to replace SM Pirates is another SM Pirates release.

Corsairs Legacy Game seems to have Sea Dogs as an influence
more than SM pirates.
Intended as a spiritual successor to the Sea Dogs Game Series.
Corsairs was the original Russian Game series title for the
Akella - Sea Dogs Games aka Age of Pirates.
First Game was published as Sea Dogs.
Akella Game developer then lost the "Name" rights as
retained by the Original Game publisher.
Later retail games then branded as Age of Pirates.
With GOG or Steam re-releases, could now use the
Sea Dogs name again.
(The Disney Pirates of the Caribbean (2003) game
is also a rebranded Sea Dogs game slightly
reworked with limited POTC content.)

An "unofficial" sequel to POTC 2003
POTC 2003 originally intended for release as
"Sea Dogs 2: Tales of a Sea Hawk" before Disney bought the rights
and released as pirates of the caribbean in 2003
