Auto Dance - Always make the right moves while dancing.

Always Graceful - When Dancing Make perfect moves.
Must have auto dance on.

Not having used it,
I would assume the Auto Dance feature must be enabled
for any Boost to take affect when pressed

When you start the trainer, it starts the game (default setting). Once you have the game running, press the alt-tab key combination and it should show you the trainer main page.

Note that if the game crashes when you press the alt-tab key combination, then lower the game's graphics settings.

Fleetp refers to the Trainer Default Options Menu as
the Trainer Main screen
(Probably doing this from memory recall).

running the game in windowed mode until you get it loaded right helps.

Pirates crashing when alt-tabbing isn't anything to do with my trainer.
One of their lastest patches introduced that bug. I get around it by turning water detail down and anything else I need to but usually only that.
Lower all your settings to minimum, alt-tab see if it still crashes then increment up one of the values at a time until you get the max video quality you can without it crashing.

If you are experiencing slowdown, try turning the detail levels for all graphical options down to the minimum, and then adjusting them one by one until you achieve an acceptable balance between visual quality and game performance.

This table describes the differences between detail levels:

Water Detail levels

1 (Lowest) No water shader
2 Water shader with no reflections
3 Water shader with ship reflections
4 Highest) Water shader with ship, cloud, and port reflections

Object Detail levels

1 (Lowest) Low detail ships; No crew duelers on dueling decks.
2 Adds background duelers to dueling.
3 (Highest) Adds animated sails, dismasting animations.

World Detail levels

1 (Lowest) Terrain only.
2 Adds surf.
3 Adds accent trees.
4 Adds tree canopy.
5 Adds caustics near shoreline.
6 (Highest) Adds sparkle effect.

Note that disabling shadows and shaders (in that order) has the greatest impact on the game's performance, so these options are a good place to start when tuning the game's performance.

You can change game Graphics settings either via the Game
Configuration tool from the Game Main Menu
or directly editing the Game config.ini file (text file)
then Starting the Game.

(Editing the config.ini is the preferred method for the
Retail Disk game as the Game resolution Changer is buggy,
fails to write a correct resolution setting to the config.ini
file.
Recommended running the Game windowed)

hmmm i think i didnt explained it well ...

i dont have any grafik problems,i can perfectly tab in and out, the game never crashes, the PH-Trainer starts and i can use the cheats in the game ...
but i can not access the Trainer defoults options, or any other options of the trainer, its started and running somwhere in the backside, but i cant open the Trainer-windows with the options, therefore i cant change the SMP/Bigpond/Trymedia .. it even shows on the toolbar the phTrainer as runing, but i can not acess the window of the PHTrainer

Run as adminstrator

Program Files and Program Files (x86) are now OS protected
areas and access is blocked by design default

Windows 10 General recommendation -
Install games to their own folder with full access
and now avoid using Program Files and Program Files (x86)
ever for any games.

Try Run as adminstrator first

other possibilities are:

Set Anti-Virus File Scan Exclusion folder for Trainer

Any Internet Security Package or Firewall
Blocking applications -
ensure Trainer is allowed & not blocked

Sid Meier's Pirates! save games location
C:\Users\[user profile]\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Pirates!

where [user profile] - User Profile name

If game fails to save,
This location can be blocked by your
Anti-virus ransomware protection feature

Add Game to your ransomware protection feature
"whitelist" to allow SM pirates Game full access

Hi,

How do you use this.

I have the disc version of the game, updated the patch to 1.02

Dl this trainer and started it up, loads up game, but don't know how to actually use.

Mentioned something about artmoney, not sure if I needed that, but tried it and even more confusing.

Sorry if I'm being a bit vague.

Sid Meier Pirates Retail Game patched to v1.02
(Steam or GOG versions should have this already included)

Run as Administrator
AV folder exclusion may also be required both for the trainer
and SM pirates Savegames

Extract the Trainer folder anywhere
keep the Trainer complete in its own folder

Run Pirates Game Windowed (not full screen) recommended

Run Trainer, start a new game or load your current game,
pause the game and select the games version on the trainer under SMP,
(Bigpond/Trymedia SMP for Steam or GOG)

Alt+Tab to switch between the Windowed Game and Trainer

click the personal tab and see if your games information is loaded, Crew,Gold, Food etc.
If the Trainer has found those values then your good to go.

If you started the trainer and it opened SMP, then it's probably working. Like Corsair said, when you are in SMP, holding down the left ALT key and pressing the TAB key will allow you to switch from seeing SMP to seeing the trainer screen.
Once in the trainer screen, select the SMP version. I have the CD Version of the game, and for that I use SMP version 1.0/steam. After that you can select the trainer options you want to use.

Thanks for the replies, still wasn't getting it, but managed to find a trainer, and after 2 clicks, done.
