Full Screen
increased chance of the game crashing & Truncated display,
or the mouse going out of alignment with the screen icons
Suggest you test 1024 x 768 & see how you get on with that |

I know i asked this somewhere else but i forget the answer, doesn't running the 4gb patch over the executable creates a new one, eliminating all the work allready done by the modded executable?
And hopefully while i have your attention, TMC can you create a castle and lion flag for spain? I love the rustic look of all your other flags, thats why im asking |

Well I’m not TMC I’m the town drunk but no running the patch doesn’t erase any modifications to a executable or create another one it just patches the one your using but not the modifications inside it. The game already has the lion and castle flag a nice one . Pretty easy to convert though if your new to modding the smaller flag icons might be a pain a first. |

Not sure about the patch, I think it might already be on the exe? But unless you instantly notice weird stuff like cities being the wrong name, it's probably fine.
I think I have a Castile y Leon flag for towns somewhere... try this:

I like the Cross of Burgundy, myself, but anything is better than the default shiny yellow flags |

As far as I can recall,
The 4GB Patch modifies an Executable Start Header bit,
so it enables 64-bit address mode by using the patch
on a 32-bit Executable.
(64-Bit CPU & Windows OS required & 3 GB of RAM recommended)
Other than this single Header bit, nothing else is changed
in the Executable by the patch.
The Patched Executable can only be used in a 64-bit System.
The patch change cannot be reversed, so always run this on a copy
of the source Executable.
You may be confusing the 4GB patch with the AdamMil - The Challenge Pack Mod which generates a new Executable. |

Thats the flag set ive been using. Not as nice once it's in game, kind of see through and less defined |

Weird, how so? I wonder if I made it when I wasn't as good with Photoshop |

It kind of seems thin and you can partially see through it. Definitely lacking that rustic, defined work of your other flags in the flags of the Caribbean download
Its all good i try to avoid SMP and Civ IV as much as i can, just for now. there's a world of games out there, no use playing the same two games all the time |

I'll check it out. Right now I have the Darien mod installed, which includes the Four Corners so Bermuda, Louisiana etc. Occasionally I get an urge to play for half an hour or so (which can quickly become a longer session)... will take a look next time I'm playing |

General Best Practice is when installing a total conversion mod such as
the East Indies mod, this is best done to an unmodded game,
(clean game with no other mods already installed) to avoid any
potential issues or problems.
When adding further mods afterwards with EIM already installed,
generally best to avoid overwriting existing files unless sure the changes
will not affect the existing mods. |
